Hi.

Welcome to The Mum Club, we are Jess and Lauren thanks for stopping by. Please let us know if we can help you with anything...

Top Picks: Because our mothers told us to always take a coat.

Top Picks: Because our mothers told us to always take a coat.

Now Spring is finally upon us and its too warm for the Canada Goose but not warm enough just yet for strappy tops and flip-flops (even though Jess would wear flip flops all 365 days of the year). We decided to bring you our essential mum throw ons. No fluff no frills but perfectly does the job whilst being stylish. Fashion doesn't have to change when you become a mum but somethings may be compromised (especially for the size of Lauren chest).

Jess has chosen a Khaki Military Jacket from H&M.

This Jacket or Shacket is the perfect light weight throw on for Spring. I bought a size M as I wanted it slightly oversized, comfort is key when chasing after the little ones. The material is thin, almost verging on a shirt but still holds its shape, making it feel more expensive than it is, which I love, its also a little warmer than a shirt so perfect for Spring. Khaki is really current this season and doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast, it perfectly adds some colour to my monochrome wardrobe without being too wild. Baby steps. Maybe my military jacket will inspire the children to stay in ranks.

Wearing; black shiny leggings from american apparel, slip ons from Next and essential white boyfriend shirt from Asos.

Jess has also picked out this Khaki Military Parka from Zara, slightly heavier material than the H&M version but still oversized and with amazing detail on the back to make more of a statement.

Lauren will always be all about the this leather from Whistles

Timeless, it is a true investment piece and my advise with it is buy well, buy once. If you chose wisely- simple style, in a plain colour- preferably black it will be something that remains part of your wardrobe for years and years. forever in fact. until your kids are desperate to steal the vintage goods from your cupboard!

Lauren is wearing Adidas sweatshirt, TUCK ME IN leggings from M&S (a post C section dream) and black high top converse. Admittedly not very colourful but if you've just had a baby black is YOUR COLOUR!!

Lauren has also picked this leather from the leather jacket heroes themselves, Allsaints. They have such a good selection you can really chose a jacket that suits you completely and although they are pricey, they ares still affordable well under the 500 bracket, which we could break trust us!!!
