One of the biggest struggles raising children is the struggle of nutrition, the responsibility that we have to make sure our children are getting everything they need from a well balanced diet. Childrens cafes and quick kids meals are usually filled with refined sugar and salt, and whilst we are partial to a Maccy D's SOMETIMES, it is extremely refreshing that our generation has taken on the food industry and are beginning to change things for the better. Meet Wild Child Kitchen, a company set up by Natasha Lee, designed to encourage a healthy curiosity in children about what they eat and where it comes from.  Offering a range of both chilled and frozen foods ready to heat up after a busy day. Health and convinience, a match made in parent heaven. We had the pleasure of catching up with Natasha to find out more about the women behind the brand.

MY NAME IS … Natasha Lee

MY BRAND IS…Wild Child Kitchen

I LIVE IN…Chelsea, London

I FEEL MOST AT HOME…barefoot in the sun, enjoying good food with loved ones.

I AM A BRAND OWNER AND…wife, sister, daughter, friend, foodie, yogi, explorer and dedicated champagne drinker

THINGS THAT KEEP ME AWAKE AT NIGHT…anything and everything! I am a terrible sleeper. It can range from what I have to do tomorrow to conversations I had three years ago…

I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP…a Vet. I was (and still am) animal obsessed but soon realized a vetinary career would likely involve putting pets to sleep and I was definitely not cut out for that. My other love was ballet so I then wanted to become a ballerina or choreographer.

MY FIRST STEPS TAKEN TO START MY BRAND WERE…I spent a couple of weeks on research; assessing the market, identifying competitors, talking to lots of parents. I could feel I was onto something so I resigned from my job very soon after that. The next few months were spent working my notice and testing lots of recipes on my godson Max and his brother Myles. I found a fantastic chef to collaborate with on the first menus and did all the admin of registering a business, researching trademarks, setting up banking etc. so that I could hit the ground running after working my last day in the City.

THIS KEEPS ME SANE...Yoga and my husband!

I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT (PHYSICAL OBJECT)...my phone. The only time I am prepared to part with it is when I am on the yoga mat.

MY BIGGEST RISK...giving up a great City job to start my own business! It was totally liberating, terrifying and exciting at the same time.

MY BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT…building such an amazing group of friends! Life is filled with highs and lows and there is always a next challenge, but having the support of these incredible individuals makes the bad times easier and the good times even better! I think knowing you have loved and been loved is what really matters in the end.

MY BEST PIECE OF ADVICE…trust your gut! All my best decisions have been instinctive.

I WOULD HAVE DONE THIS DIFFERENTLY…my only regrets in life are the times my actions or words have hurt someone. Those are things I wish I could do-over. Other than that, I am very grateful for where I am right now and the journey that brought me here. We are formed by our experiences; I think I have learned much more from the things I got wrong than those I got right.
