MY NAME IS … Jeni Anderson
MY BRAND IS… Mr Moo's Motorcar
I LIVE IN… South East London
I FEEL MOST AT HOME… Am I allowed to say at the pub?! Actually on second thoughts, at home on my couch... with a wine (there’s a common theme here!)
I AM A MUM AND… a designer. I’m not me if I’m not being creative.
THINGS THAT KEEP ME AWAKE AT NIGHT… I’m a Mum so… my two year old son!
WHEN I GREW UP I WANTED TO BE… a ballerina, but I’ve been cursed with two left feet! I tried really hard but at a dance concert, I knocked over a few fellow ballerinas–there's photographic evidence– so I soon realised that wasn’t going to happen!
MY FIRST STEPS TAKEN TO START MY BRAND WERE...it was actually a beautiful accident! When looking for a car play mat for my son’s car-mad bestie, all I could find were tacky colourful ones, so I designed him one myself. I kept the colours quite monochrome so they'd fit with his mum's colour scheme too! Then I designed a few more to go in the range, some bookplates (personalised stickers for your favourite books) and prints. With this collection, I launched my etsy shop and instagram account.
THE HARDEST PART OF MOTHERHOOD IS… at the moment, it’s the tantrums. But in general, it’s the constant worry – is he going to be ok, am I bringing him up right, am I being the best Mum I can be, am I spending too much time on instagram… (I know that last one is true #instaaddict!)
THIS KEEPS ME SANE... That hubby of mine - he keeps my head level, my family and handful of close friends who i constantly vent to... day and nightthey're always there on viber - you know who you are.
I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT (PHYSICAL OBJECT)... wine (ok this is getting a little embarrassing)
MY BIGGEST RISK... moving to London and leaving my family behind in Australia.
MY BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT... my marriage and my beautiful boy
MY BEST PIECE OF ADVICE… keep it simple!
AND LASTLY A PERSONAL ONE! I WOULD HAVE DONE THIS DIFFERENTLY IN MY LABOUR… screamed louder for an epidural!
